Now Be Here: Elizabeth Bryant #60
Feeling inspired after attending the historic event Now Be Here at Hauser Wirth & Schimmel. My goal is to feature every artist that attended, one artist a day. Considering the number of artists that showed up, this will take me two years to complete. I am looking forward to getting to know the work of each and every artist!
Your inspiration for the day- Now Be Here edition: Elizabeth Bryant
From Elizabeth Bryant:
Elizabeth Bryant is a visual artist who works with photography, collage, sculpture and installation. Each project aims to combine objects, images and materials that are often ignored or undervalued in order to encourage reconsidering what is frequently overlooked. Living among the landscapes and cultures of Los Angeles has had a tremendous impact on her work and has been the primary source of many of the conceptual and stylistic elements she uses.
Bryant has presented numerous solo projects at respected venues in Los Angeles and had work included in dozens of noteworthy group shows locally and across the country as well as in London, Paris, and Dubrovnik, Croatia. Her work is included in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Cincinnati Art Museum the Art, the Design & Architecture Museum at the University of California, Santa Barbara, the Washington State Arts Program, the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris and the California State University, Los Angeles Contemporary Collection. She is the recipient of an NEA/WESTAF Individual Artist Fellowship in New Genres and a nominee for an Anonymous was a Woman Award.
